THE COMPANY WAS FOUNDED
Ralph Tomlinson founded R.W. Tomlinson Cartage with one single-axle dump truck.
IT’S A FAMILY AFFAIR
Bill Tomlinson, Ralph’s son joined him full time in 1962. Bill’s younger brother Ken joined the company as well in 1964.

The company was incorporated.
CONTINUING THE FAMILY LEGACY
In 1976 Bill and Ken Tomlinson bought out their father’s interest in the company, and ultimately Bill became the sole owner in 1990. The Tomlinson Group is now in the hands of the third generation of the Tomlinson family, as Bill’s son Ron oversees the business.
LEADERSHIP IN THE INDUSTRY
Throughout the years, the company expanded its capabilities and completed a number of acquisitions. The company is now a prominent player in quarrying, construction, trucking, ready mix, land development and environmental industries, with a large fleet of company-owned vehicles in Eastern Canada.
